I sugar-coat it to everyone, even you. I don't want anyone to know how much I think about it -- all the time...

It's not that I don't love my family, it's just...everyone else I care about is somewhere else. Everybody gets trapped here. Pretty much, they turn into one of 5 people. Your options are: totally content, contently in denial, bitter and angry, 'the quirky one' or cheerily living through your children. I just...I'm so afraid of that.

And the worst part is that everyone WANTS it to happen. When I talk about getting out they look at me like I'm crazy or I'm betraying them.
